How to use the Samsung Sound Tower app

The Samsung Sound Tower app lets you control your Sound Tower directly from your compatible smartphone. Once paired via Bluetooth, you can adjust volume, change sound modes, manage light effects, and play music without using a remote. Follow the below guide for more information.

Please Note: This guide is designed for Australian variant Galaxy devices, if you have an international device and require further support click here to get in touch with your Samsung subsidiary. 

Prior to following the below guide ensure that you have paired your Samsung Sound Tower to your compatible smartphone.

Please Note:The Samsung Sound Tower app is compatible with Android mobile phone devices running Android OS 8.0 or later and with *Apple mobile phone devices running iOS 13.0 or later. 

1 Open the Play Store or App Store

2 Tap on the search bar and search for Samsung Sound Tower 3.0

If you have an *iOS device click here to download the app from the App Store.

3 Select the Samsung Sound Tower app
Tap on App
4 Tap on Install
Tap on install
5 Once the app has been installed on your compatible smartphone tap on Open to launch the app

2 Agree to the App Permissions

3 Scroll through the pre-loaded lighting options, then select your preferred colour arrangement to further customise the settings

4 Choose your preferred Pattern and Colour options then tap on Done to save changes

2 Then select your preferred source option

1 Select DJ Booth

2 Tap on any of the DJ Booth settings
Tap on the DJ Options
1 Plug in external microphone into MIC 1.

2 Select 'Karaoke Mode' on the app.

3 Select the mic setting icon mic button.

4 Adjust the mic settings to your liking.

5 Play your music through Bluetooth or USB source and sing into connected microphone.

1 Tap on Equaliser

2 Select a pre-loaded setting or use the dials to adjust to suit your preference

Please Note: To use Group Play, a minimum of two of any Samsung Sound Towers models are required.

1 On the HOST sound tower, navigate to the Group Play settings.

2 Toggle the switch to turn Wireless Group Play on.

3 Turn on the other Sound Towers and press the 'GROUP PLAY' button. The GROUP PLAY LED will start blinking. They will automatically connect to the HOST Sound Tower when the GROUP PLAY LED becomes solid.

4 The other Sound Towers will appear in the Group Play settings when connected. You can select and unselect which Sound Towers you want to include and press 'Apply'.

5 Play music on the HOST Sound Tower system and sound will output from all connected systems simultaneously.

Please Note: To use Stereo Play, two of the same Samsung Sound Towers models are required.

1 Navigate to the 'Stereo Setting' of the HOST Sound Tower.

2 Toggle the switch to turn Wireless Add Stereo on.

3 Connect the second Sound Tower via Bluetooth.
4 The second Sound Tower will appear in the Stereo settings when connected. You can change which Sound Tower is the left and right speaker by pressing the swap button and selecting 'Apply'.

5 Play the media on the HOST Sound Tower and sound will output from both Sound Towers.
